I am a PhD student in a cotutelle (dual-diploma) program with Pukyong National University in Busan, South Korea and Ecole des Ponts in Marne-la-valee, France. I have started the course in 2015 in Korea.
Since 2006, I have stayed in the meteorology field of study completing my masters cooperating with professors in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. Then in 2014, I have had a chance to meet Daniel Schertzer from RainGain project meeting which led me to become a part of HM&Co.
My thesis subject is “Multifractal precipitation nowcasting using high resolution radar data and mesoscale models”. As the short forecast in complex terrain area still remains as a challenge, the goal of this study is to have a new approach of multifractal nowcasting with heterogeneous boundaries based on radar data, particularly for extreme events.
