Our latest research results will be presented next spring at the European Geoscience Union General Assembly 2017 in Wien, a conference gathering over 12 500 geoscientists from all over the world. From the 24 to the 28 April 2017 a rich program of orals and posters will include presentations on our work about high-resolution weather observations and forecasts supported by X-band weather radar and disdrometers, meteorological and hydrological events across multiple scales, the case of typhoon Bolaven, green roof ecosystem services, media mapping during flood events, e-learning on complex systems in environment.
For the first time, participants at EGU will have the opportunity to use the open-source multi-hydro model (24 April, 17:30) and practice multi-fractal analysis with their own data (27 April, 17:30) during two dedicated workshops. HM&Co team will also lead the organisation of the Great Debate “Transition to next generation cities and Planet Earth future” (27 April, 17:30), a splinter meeting on weather radar (26 April, 15:30), a session on precipitation variability (25 April, 13:30), and a meeting dedicated to the Nonlinear Processes (NP) division (27 April, 17:30). Photos and insights on the event will be available on our Twitter account.
