Water cycle: Evaporation
Evaporation:
Over the oceans evaporation is strongest in the southern regions such as the southern part of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea and weakest to the north of Iceland, where the sea is covered with ice during the cold season.
The amount of water vapor that may be in the air corresponds to a specific threshold that is a function of the temperature of the air: the saturated steam. The higher the temperature, the greater the amount of vaporized water is important :
Below this threshold, the water can turn into steam and the steam does not condense.
Above this threshold, the steam condenses and the water will not evaporate.
