Scale invariance
Scale invariance means that the observed structure remains unchanged under magnification or contraction. A scale-invariant pattern is thus scale dependent and cannot be characterized by a single scale. The scale invariance is a symmetry that is found at all scales. It involves the recurrence of a pattern within a pattern. It is a recognizable property, which include a simple illustration in the infinite reflections of a person standing between two mirrors, or the Russian dolls that fit into each other, but this example is that a rough analogy.

This property is very important in cascade phenomenology
