Energy spectra in geophysics : ocean 1

As for the atmospheric research, the PSD is also used in oceanic field. The above figures show the power spectra density of temperature and velocity fields measured in the ocean. We can observe the scaling propriety of this fields and also the physical process involved which is the isotropic turbulence.
