Interactions between Karts and climate

The interactions between karst and climate result in forcing such as:

  • The air temperature, which controls the following phenomena: the nature of precipitation, liquid or solid, the melting of snow, which gives a very marked mountain component to this karst system.

  • The precipitation: Rainfall representing the entrance to the karst system, the regime is modulated by temperature. They are in solid form during the cold season and in liquid form during the hot season.

  • The evaporation: it is interesting to know its temporal distribution and intensity, because it changes the system input signal: the rain.
