→ Example of lake
In order to illustrate the complexity of ecological system we can take the problem of bloom algae occurring in water bodies. The study of this phenomenon is very important because the apparition of algae in water bodies can causes some diseases to the human population. The figure (a) shows the occurrence of bloom algae in river and the figure (b) shows that the concentration of the chlorophyll which is used as an indicator of the appearance of the algal bloom, is extremely variable in time.

In order to give a very smooth explanation of the causes of this variability, we made an illustration as follows:
The temperature affects the concentration of the algae by bringing the suitable thermodynamics conditions in order to allow some chemical reactions, or by the effects of the stratification. The light is very important in photosynthesis process, the herbivores which feed mainly of the algae ...etc.
