One of the biggest complex system that can be found in environment is the ecological system. It is a very important system because it interacts directly with the population. Understanding and modeling ecological system is very important to prevent diseases.
However, the study of ecological systems face off some obstacles such as: The spatial/temporal variability of the measured variables (which are used to characterize the system): temperature, concentrations, pressure, fluorescence...etc. The involved scale: in ecological systems one can found different processes at different scales such as: Chemical interaction at molecular scale, physical processes at macroscopic and mesoscale.
