Presentation of the service:
The Hydrology Meteorology and Complexity laboratory (HM&Co) of École des ponts ParisTech develops multi-scale observation, analysis and modelling methods adapted to the urban environment perceived as a complex system. Its research has particularly interest in climatic and hydrological fluxes, and in taking into account the high variability of their fields over a wide range of scales. Among its activities, HM & Co is developing the multi-scale geophysical observation platform, which aims to ensure more precise management and control of the fluxes (matter, energy) of urban systems (http:// www.enpc.fr/ hydrology-meteorology-and-complexity).
In its RadX@IdF project, HM&Co is committed to the Region to develop research in Ile- de-France on precipitation, particularly its high-resolution measurement using dual- polarised X-band radar technology to enable researchers and water managers to prepare the city in a changing climate.
The observation platform of the HM&Co laboratory is organised around its dual-polarised X-band hydro-meteorological radar, to which will be added complementary equipment such as a lidar and a cloud radar. The first step is to facilitate the merging of data from different sources and the prototyping of new services around alerts and forecasts in the very short term.
You will have to ensure that this platform benefits from the most recent technologies to fulfill these various missions, by developing its technological and computer base allowing the implementation of the projects of the laboratory.
You will be required to design and develop software components and features with high scientific added value. ￼￼
You will also be in charge of the realisation of high density information user interfaces, in particular the management of incoming data flows (eg those coming from mesoscale models or in-situ networks) and outgoing (eg connections identified users), their secure storage and their visualiSation.

You have a training Bac + 5 in computer science (or similar).
You have a solid scientific and technical culture, which you will constantly update to adapt to changes in technology.
You master the advanced techniques in programming, computing and networks, as well as the problems of infrastructure, protocol and security.
You have a good knowledge of management, organisation and administration tools as well as operating systems.
You are motivated to take METEOR 60DX radar maintenance training and associated software (Ravis® and Rainbow®).
In a highly international context, the standard practice of English is essential, as well as a good ability of written and oral expression, team spirit and synthesis, the respect of the rules of confidentiality.
