Environmental complex system : some interactions
The different systems presented above interact at large range of scale. We can highlight some interaction in the following figure, it can be showed that the atmosphere transport and exchange some chemical component with the ocean and land, the evaporation of ocean water acts on the weather....,etc.
As we can observe, there exist different interactions through wide processes such as: transport (advection) (atmosphere-chemistry, ocean- phytoplankton...), chemical (gases-pollutants). There also interactions between the large systems such as the exchanges between atmosphere and ocean (oxygen, mixing...) and between the atmosphere and land (water level in rivers, infiltration...).
